Border Security
The United States is a melting pot of cultures, religions, and races. We were built on a foundation of legal immigration of people from all over the world. However, leaving our Southern border open for people to come into our country illegally is a threat to national security, a threat to our economic stability, and simply not fair to the thousands of people and families who have paid their dues and waited in line to gain entrance into this country legally. In order to mitigate the risks and ensure the entrance process into our country is fair for all people pursuing a better life, we must build a barrier on the Southern border. With a barrier helping control the flow of illegal immigration into the country, we can reform the path to legal immigration making it easier and quicker to become a citizen. The United States should be welcoming with open arms the world's best and brightest. Immigration is part of what makes America the best country on earth, but in order to help more people prosper, we have to put a stop to the illegal border jumping and line cutting taking place on our Southern border.
